Installation and First-Time Operation
Putting Your Phone into Operation
Logging Your Phone on
Your system administrator has to prepare the system before you can log on your phone.
Connecting
1)
the plug-in power adapter
1. Plug the smaller connector into the socket on the underside of the
charging bay.
2. Feed the cable through the strain relief provided.
3. Plug the plug-in power adapter into an available socket outlet.
Attaching the charging bay to other phones
You can attach your phone's charging bay to other phones, providing
they also have attachment slots on the underside. This makes sense if,
for example, you have several cordless phones on your desk or if you
are using a cordless phone in connection with a desktop set. To attach
the phones to one another, proceed as follows:
1. Push the attachment tabs into the attachment slots on the charging
bay until you feel them click into place.
2. Fit the projecting extremities of the attachment tabs into the attachment slots of the phone or of
another charging bay and carefully push both housings together until you feel them click into place.
Inserting the batteries
Please observe the rules and regulations when
dealing with batteries in the chapter "Safety and
liability".
1. Remove the cover from the battery compartment:
Press down gently on the cover and pull the side
ribbing downwards.
2. WARNING: Wrong polarity will irretrievably
damage your phone! Note the polarity specified
in the battery compartment. Insert the two
batteries into the battery compartment as
illustrated.
3. Slide the battery compartment cover over the batteries until the cover snaps into place.
1) Note: Plug designs vary from country to country
Note
Operating several phones in interconnected charging bays can cause
malfunctions in radio operation.
